HW to complete during EP meeting week (due Tuesday, March 24): Finish reading The Midwife's Apprentice Chs. 13-17. Complete essay assignment, using at least 4 of the 8 topics given to you. 2 anthology selections and 2 vocabulary lists.
March 24-26
HW due Thurs. March 26 - Final draft of your argumentative essay (needs to be typed if you haven't already done so). Use the corrections/comments from your peer editing checklist.
Mar. 30 - April 10 - No school or classes. Spring Break
April 14-16
HW due April 14 (2 days' worth) - your creative piece for the anthology
HW for weekend (due Tuesday, April 21) - Complete all handouts on comparison and contrast. Also, you need to select 2 pieces of literature to use for your final compare/contrast essay. These can be the books we have read in class, pieces from your anthology, books you have read on your own, or any combination.
April 21-23
HW during the testing break - you need to finish your compare/contrast essay on 2 pieces of literature (if you haven't already done so). Complete the packet I gave you. 2 anthology selections with responses. 2 vocabulary lists. Select a topic for the expository essay.
April 28-30
No onsite classes due to SBAC/CST testing.
Students can work on their writing portfolios.
